"He reminds me of Bernardo Silva." Chelsea Legend full of praise for ONE special Chelsea signing.

Image
The Chelsea Legend has praised the new signing why reiterating he reminds him of Man City's Bernardo Silva.  Chelsea don't seem to have got much right in the transfer market since Todd Boehly took over, but Cole Palmer is an exception according to former Blues defender Jason Cundy. Chelsea have spent more than £1 billion on players since Boehly succeeded Roman Abramovich in ownership at Stamford Bridge in May 2022, but find themselves languishing in 11th in the Premier League this season. Of that outlay, £40 million of it went on Manchester City academy graduate Palmer on transfer deadline day last summer, and the attacking midfielder has been one of the few positives.  Palmer's assist for Raheem Sterling's goal in the 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers in the EFL Cup on Wednesday took his goal-involvements up to seven in 12 games this season and Cundy, who had a rare night off from talkSPORT to co-commentate the game, was impressed. Cole Palmer again with a nutmeg pass...

Noni Madueke scores two powerful goals for England U21s in their 9-1 victory vs Serbia.

Image
Noni Madueke was on the score sheet for England U21s Last night.  Three Chelsea players started the match, including Cole Palmer, who captained the side and Noni Madueke, who grabbed two of the nine goals.  Bashir Humphreys, on loan at Swansea City, started at left back and played the full-90. Madueke played about an hour and Palmer a little over 50 minutes, evidently being forced off with “what looked like a dead leg”. So that’s not a huge concern (despite the presence of the word “dead”), but hopefully he gets to rest up the rest of the break then. Chelsea winger Noni Madueke was superb all game and he came up with two goals as well, with his first being absolutely beautiful – it was very Lionel Messi-like. Reports have claimed that Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk will now be fit to start the next Premier League game. According to Football London, the Ukraine international will be ready to face Arsenal after an injury concern saw him benched against Burnley last weekend.  Mudryk has been slowly establishing himself as a difficult member of the Chelsea side to drop as his performances have begun to improve at last. The player who has often looked so short of confidence, the relief could be seen lift off his shoulders when he finally found the net for the first time in Blue. He latched on to a Levi Colwill pass to fire Chelsea into the lead, on their way to just their second Premier League win of the season. Mudryk fit to start against Arsenal However, he was replaced at half-time of that game due to an injury, although it was claimed just after the game that there were hopes he would not be ou...
