Chelsea Legends react to Gary Cahill retirement.

 Gary Cahill took to social media on Wednesday and announced his retirement from professional football after 20 years. 

Chelsea Legends have reacted to Gary Cahill's retirement. The former Chelsea centre-back penned a lengthy emotional note to bid farewell to his football career. 

He wrote:

"Football is a game that has given me so much enjoyment and success and as I make the decision to hang up my boots, I can honestly say I gave it everything I had.

"I've achieved things I once dreamt of, creating some incredible memories. From amazing highs like winning the Champions League and Premier League, to the privilege of captaining my country and Chelsea in an FA Cup winning team will remain with me forever. I've also made some fantastic friendships with people across the football world, from teammates, managers, and the unsung heroes behind the scenes, I just want to say a massive thank you.

"Taking the decision to stop playing is not an easy one. I've spent 20 years training every day, putting in the work to be in the best possible shape for matchday to help the teams I’ve played for be successful. I’ve had time to consider my options and after much deliberation and reflection I feel now is the time to move on to the next stage of my career.

"A special thank you must go to my amazing family who have supported me and been there every step of the way. I now have the opportunity to spend some quality time with them which is something I’m looking forward to.

"Beyond that, football will always be part of who I am and what I love so this is just the end of this chapter. For me it’s important to look forwards not backwards as a new chapter in my life begins."

His retirement has sparked reactions from several Chelsea Legends, some of which include Petr Cech, John Terry, Willian and Pedro Rodriguez. 

Willian wrote, “Congratulations on your amazing career mate."

Pedro Rodriguez wrote: "Congrats @GaryJCahill for your great career. It was a pleasure to play with you at @ChelseaFC and share a lot of good moments. All the best for you and your family.

John Terry shared a video of a superb display from Gary Cahill in his own style of wishing his former teammate a happy retirement: 

Petr Cech said: “Congratulations on an amazing career”, and John Terry added: “Congratulations on an incredible career mate” per UK daily.

Magical display and goal from Nicolas Jackson that shows he's Chelsea's next Didier Drogba.

 Nicolas Jackson was on target for the Blues in their 4-1 trashing of Burnley yesterday.  Raheem Sterling takes the ball from midfield and turns around on his marker to leave him biting dust. Once in the final third he finds Cole Palmer in the box, who calmly lays it to Nicolas Jackson right in front of goal. The striker does very well in controlling the ball, adjusting his footing, and striking it for Chelsea’s fourth goal against Burnley. Comparisons have been made with Nicolas Jackson's stats for the Blues and that of Legend, Didier Drogba.
