Chelsea willing to pay more than €100M for Real Madrid superstar in the summer.
According Reports, Chelsea are willing to pay more than €100M for the Real Madrid star.
According to El Nacional, Todd Boehly is gearing up to make a bold move in the summer as he sets his sight on Real Madrid and Uruguayan international Federico Valverde. The reports also suggests that this is Todd Boehly's next move as he is willing to pay even more than €100M for him.
Valverde is currently one of Carlo Ancelotti's key players and has over the previous seasons, been an integral part of the Real Madrid squad. He is also part of the long-term plans and future of the Los Blancos side. This means that should Chelsea be able to land him at West London next summer, they would have to splash even more cash to make that deal happen. Money, of course, is no problem for Todd Boehly who has reportedly prepared a blank check and is willing to pay over €100m to land him. Per El Nacional, Todd Boehly is not satisfied with the competitive level of the club despite his huge spending spree last summer that saw the likes of Mykailo Mudryk, Enzo Fernández, Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, David Datro Fofana and Malo Gusto join the club.
Todd Boehly is reportedly concerned with key areas on the pitch particularly the midfield which he wants to improve. With the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka and Loftus-Cheek, including Denis Zakaria, the Chelsea owner is not completely satisfied with the midfield options. He is looking to bolster the quality of the club's mid area and top of his list is Federico Valverde.
Valverde is also a subject of interest to Manchester United and Liverpool. The Reds even made an attempt to sign the midfielder after the Champions League final, but were rebuffed by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. According to El Nacional, he is also not looking to leave Real Madrid as he and his wife have repeatedly expressed their contentment with life in the Spanish capital.
Chelsea are also interested in Real Madrid fringe player:
According to The Sunday Mirror, Chelsea and Newcastle United are closely monitoring Brahim Diaz's situation.
The fringe player may not have a future at Real Madrid, having been sent out on loan to AC Milan. Although he has displayed moments of brilliance, it remains unclear if he has a role to play at Real Madrid, even if he were to return. Adding to the uncertainty is the interest from the Premier League giants.Whether these links to Chelsea and Newcastle United will translate into substantial offers remains to be seen. There are also rumors that AC Milan would like to retain Diaz's services.
