Real Madrid eye potential move to sign €300,000-per-week Chelsea star to bolster their attacking threat.
Real Madrid are interested in signing the £300,000-per-week forward. According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid have expressed an interest in signing Havertz on a permanent deal ahead of the 2023-24 season. With Chelsea forced to offload a few of their first-team players due to Financial Fair Play (FFP), Los Blancos are confident about a transfer.
Since his signing, Kai Havertz has been a regular starter under all three coaches he's played under and is no doubt an integral part of the Chelsea squad. He's netted nine goals in 32 games this season despite featuring mainly as the club's striker. Overall, the 2021 UEFA Champions League winner has registered 32 goals and 15 assists in 128 games across all competitions for Chelsea. Not quite interesting stats for his huge £72m price tag right? But he's turned out to be crucial in the big games, helping the club to three major European titles.
Havertz's ability to shoot, including his reliability in the big games is a notable trait the Los Blancos see in the 23-year old.
For the time being, Chelsea are not planning to release Havertz. Should the Spanish giants want to sign him, they should be willing to meet more than his £72m price tag. Per Si, Havertz currently earns a weekly wage of £300,000; one of the Premier League's best paid players.
Meanwhile, Chelsea on the other hand are interested in Real Madrid's Federico Valverde and are willing to pay more than £100m for him, per Le Nacional.
Chelsea and Real Madrid have been involved in some notable transfers over the years, with the likes of Eden Hazard, Thibaut Courtois, and Antonio Rudiger joining the Los Blancos; and Mateo Kovacic moving to the Bridge.
