Top 5 most in-form goalkeepers in Europe Chelsea could sign to replace Edouard Mendy this summer.

Per multiple reports, Edouard Mendy is not keen on staying at Chelsea beyond this season.

With Edouard Mendy believed to be leaving Chelsea, as all contract talks have broken down between him and the club, here are the top 5 goalkeepers in Europe Chelsea could consider picking from to replace the Senegalese:

1. Andre Onana:

Chelsea have in the past been linked with the Cameroon international. He currently has a save percentage of 76.4%.

However, his post-shot xG conceded with the actual number of goals let in , his score is -1.8 which is not quite impressive.

2. Alban Lafont:

Lafont has been Nantes' no.1 for a number of years and has been regarded as a goalkeeper with a big future and he is beginning to realise that potential this campaign.

Lafont has a 74.6% save percentage, which is not quite as good as Onana’s figure, but he is much better in another metric.

If we subtract his goals conceded from his post-shot xG against figure, he has a score of +4.7, meaning he has kept out almost five more goals than the average shot-stopper.

3. Yeh van Diouf:
Currently Stade de Reims' goalkeeper.

The 23-year-old has the second-highest save percentage of any keeper in Europe’s top five leagues (83.7%), just below Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

If we look at his post-shot xG conceded compared with the actual number of goals he has let past him, his score of +6.5 is also right up there.

4. Gregor Kobel:
Like Onana, Kobel has been linked with a move to Chelsea and is currently Dortmund's number one.

Kobel has a more than decent save ratio (76.8%) and he’s also impressive on other metrics.

The Swiss international has a score of +3.3 this season if we subtract the goals he has let in from his post-shot xG conceded figure.

5. David Raya:

The Bees’ number one has a save percentage of 76.4%, exactly the same as Onana’s, but he is superior (+2.6) to the Cameroon star when we compare his post-shot xG allowed with goals conceded.

Still only 27 years old, he has just one-year left in his contract with Brentford and Chelsea will be willing to exploit that to their advantage.
