Two teams Chelsea must avoid in the quarter-finals if they want to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

 Chelsea MUST not be drawn with these two teams in the Quarter-finals if they want to go far in the competition.
With the Blues already qualified for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League competition, uncertainties over who their next opponent will be are in the air. While many Chelsea fans are carried away by the Blues' three straight wins and call for a tougher opponent, most notably, Bayern Munich, they might well be opening the door to an exit from the competition, per Pundit Paul Merson who thinks the German outfit is one opponent Chelsea should not face if they want to progress in the competition. 

What was said: 

Paul Merson believes Chelsea should not be drawn with Manchester City or Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals if they want to win the competition. Speaking as quoted by Chelsea news, Merson said:

“If the Champions League quarter-final draw goes their way, bar Man City and Bayern Munich, I don’t think too many teams will want to play Chelsea. If they don’t meet those two then I think they’ll get through to the semi-finals.”

Merson does not see Real Madrid as a threat to Chelsea's Champions League success, including Napoli. 

His fears are somewhat plausible given the performances of both teams in their respective Leagues and in the Champions League. Manchester City had demolished RB Leipzig 7-nil in the second leg of the Round of 16 play-offs, after their 1-1 draw in the first leg. In-form City are looking to win the Champions League after crashing out of the competition in previous years and look very much unstoppable. They are obviously not the team a struggling Chelsea should face at this point. 

Bayern Munich on the other hand have always been a threat, a major one in the Champions League. One can most certainly tell from their win against PSG in both legs of the competition and not one team Chelsea should be drawn with.

• Chelsea 

• Benfica

• AC Milan 

• Bayern Munich 

• Inter Milan

• Man City 

• Real Madrid

• Napoli

Chelsea should most certainly wish at this point that they could be drawn with one of either Inter Milan or Benfica if they want Champions League success under Potter.

Magical display and goal from Nicolas Jackson that shows he's Chelsea's next Didier Drogba.

 Nicolas Jackson was on target for the Blues in their 4-1 trashing of Burnley yesterday.  Raheem Sterling takes the ball from midfield and turns around on his marker to leave him biting dust. Once in the final third he finds Cole Palmer in the box, who calmly lays it to Nicolas Jackson right in front of goal. The striker does very well in controlling the ball, adjusting his footing, and striking it for Chelsea’s fourth goal against Burnley. Comparisons have been made with Nicolas Jackson's stats for the Blues and that of Legend, Didier Drogba.
