The defender revealed the secret tactics that helped the Blues secure their second win of the year against Leeds United.
Chelsea defender, Wesley Fofana has revealed the secret weapon Chelsea employed to beat Leeds United.
The Blues had been without a win throughout February and were looking to get crucial three points. Under-fire coach, Graham Potter needed a win to save his Chelsea career in a game that had looked to be his last.
While many Chelsea fans were surprised to taste victory after a winless drought, Wesley Fofana who netted the only goal of the game has revealed the secret to the Blues' win on Saturday.
As quoted by Football.London, Fofana revealed the Blues had perfected their game plan in training, by working on set pieces:
"Not nerves but excitement for the win, the fans and the club." Fofana stated after the game.
"It is a difficult situation but everyone in the club pushes for a win. Yesterday in training we worked on set-pieces and today I scored one. It's a good feeling."
The Blues will return to Champions League action on Tuesday night with the confidence needed to turn things around after their 1-0 defeat in the first leg. Hopefully, their recent win gives them momentum needed to secure a win and seal their place in the competition.
