"Going nowhere!" — Five Chelsea players make it clear that they want to remain at Stamford Bridge despite Mauricio Pochettino squad overhaul.

The Blues are reportedly planning a squad overhaul this summer and FIVE Chelsea stars insist they want to remain at the club.

Two players have already departed Chelsea following an abysmal season as the club continue to offload players. The likes of Joao Felix and Denis Zakaria who were loanees in the just concluded season, have returned to their respective clubs Atletico Madrid and Juventus respectively as they are not part of newly appointed Coach Mauricio Pochettino's plans.

With the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Mason Mount keen on leaving Chelsea, five Chelsea stars have made it clear to the Blues hierarchy that they want to remain at the club and fight for their place under Pochettino, per reports.

These five players include Conor Gallagher, N'Golo Kanté, Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, and Kalidou Koulibaly.

N'Golo Kanté:

The midfielder's current contract situation is source of concern as his current deal expires in June meaning he would be eligible to leave on a free transfer at the end of the 2022-23 campaign. Negotiations have been ongoing between both parties and progress had been considered positive at the close of last year. It now appears that Kante looks set to stay in west London, as The Telegraph report that Chelsea are confident an agreement will be reached soon.

Thiago Silva:

Currently Chelsea's best player of the year and fans player of the year, Thiago Silva's heart is still at the Bridge and loved by all at the club. Earlier last month, the veteran dismissed claims he would leave Chelsea this summer despite signing a contract extension early February:

“I have a contract here [at Chelsea], right?" he told ESPN. "It’s even strange, because several things are coming out [in the media] and it turns out that the fans [of Fluminense] are in love.

“Some even curse me on social networks, others say ‘come soon’, others they say ‘if you don’t come now, don’t come anymore’.

“It’s even boring for me, but I renewed with Chelsea, if I’m not mistaken.

“I’ve always fulfilled my contracts. I won’t stay here if Chelsea don’t want me for next year or if the new coach who arrives don’t want me to stay. I’m going to try to fulfil my contract that is signed until next year.”

Conor Gallagher:

Reports have claimed that Conor Gallagher is far less keen right now on leaving Chelsea this summer.

According to The Mirror, the midfielder is convinced he can fight for his place under the new manager, Mauricio Pochettino.

Mauricio Pochettino is the new manager of Chelsea, and the Argentine gave chances to home-grown players when he was the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur.

Gallagher has reportedly been encouraged by that.

Trevor Chalobah and Kalidou Koulibaly:

Both defensive options are not keenon a move from Stamford Bridge anytime soon.

Per new reports however, Inter Milan pushing hard to sign Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah.

The 23-year-old joined Chelsea in 2007, where he graduated through the academy and has been a first-team player since the start of the 2021-22 season.

While he played in every match during Frank Lampard’s spell as caretaker manager, he was used more sporadically throughout the course of the whole season.

Inter are accelerating their efforts to sign the centre-back and are in communication with Chalobah’s camp on a daily basis.

It remains to be seen whether incoming Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino wants Chalobah to be part of the new project in west London, but it is understood Chalobah is desperate to be playing regular football with an eye on selection for England at Euro 2024. Inter were interested in securing Chalobah on loan last summer, but approaches for the defender were blocked by Chelsea.

Chalobah signed a Chelsea contract extension until 2028 with an option for a further year in November, but the defender remains keen for regular football and Inter remain keen on signing him.

A report from Evening Standard claims that Chelsea are prepared to cut their losses on Koulibaly this summer but the player is reluctant to leave the club.

Apparently, the defender is on £200,000 per week and he wants to continue at Stamford Bridge. He knows he is unlikely to get similar wages at another club and it will be interesting to see how Chelsea offload a high earner like him.

It is evident that the 31-year-old has not been able to adapt to English football and he is unlikely to get regular opportunities at Chelsea next season.
