"They are undroppable." John Terry names the players who should always start Chelsea games following bizarre loss to West Ham United.

The Chelsea Legend has named three players who should always start games for Chelsea while labelling one as a constant threat. 

John Terry has named three Chelsea players which impressed him despite the Blues' defeat to West Ham. The Hammers waltzed away 3-1 victors on Sunday afternoon as Mauricio Pochettino suffered his first loss since returning to Premier League management.

It didn't take long for the home side to open the scoring after a fantastic delivery from James Ward-Prowse found Nayef Aguerd towering over Conor Gallagher at the back post. Chelsea soon found an equaliser thanks to a superb strike from Carney Chukwuemeka, who had excellently slalomed past Tomas Soucek to create an opening.

Then, in the dying embers of the first-half, Enzo Fernandez was gifted the chance to put Chelsea ahead from the penalty spot, but Alphonse Areola denied the Argentine. West Ham regained their lead shortly into the second-half through Michail Antonio before Lucas Paqueta put the final nail in the coffin.

Despite an unfortunate result at the London Stadium, Terry drew plenty of positives and named three players which impressed him the most. After half an hour of the game, the former Blues captain tweeted: "I really like the look of @axeldisasi."

His admiration for the Frenchman was then followed up with praise for Nicolas Jackson and Raheem Sterling. Terry tweeted: "I love the look of Nicolas Jackson, seems like a right handful to play against and a constant threat behind.

"Sterling is on fire," he added. Like Terry, Pochettino was keen to highlight the positives from the defeat and he insisted that the score didn't reflect the performance. The Chelsea boss said: "I don't believe we can call it a mentality thing.

"I think today the result doesn't reflect the performance. In football, we need to accept that these kind of situations happen. I think the first-half was really good.

"Only disappointed and the players are really disappointed in the way we conceded the first goal because we start the game knowing West Ham are so, so dangerous in set-pieces, corners. We conceded a few corners and then we conceded the goal. That is a little bit disappointing.

"I was really upset at half-time about that. I think the players will agree and feel the same and then I think also we did really well in the first-half. We should be winning the game at half-time.

"In the second-half, we reshaped the team. The injury to Carney Chukwuemeka, we didn't find a way from the beginning. Then when we started to find a way to play, we then conceded another goal. Then we started to take different decisions, trying to find the right timing in offensive situations. Yes, disappointed but this is a process and we need to keep working."

Then, in an interview with talkSPORT, Pochettino revealed that Chelsea will be re-entering the market for another forward before the summer transfer window slams shut. The 51-year-old said: "It is a difficult situation because we had two strikers in [Christopher] Nkunku and [Armando] Broja but they are injured.

"It is not easy in this moment to find the right profile. We are in the process, working to see if we can add some players in this area. But it is a job that is not easy for the club. For sure, they are working really hard to add some players.

"If it is not possible, we need to wait until Nkunku and Broja will be ready and we have the help of Mason [Burstow]. I don’t think the problem is that we need another striker. The chances that we created, we need to be more clinical."
